Political Consulting.
Joe’s passion for politics began at just 16 years old, working on his mother’s successful campaigns for Town Clerk in Cicero. From those early experiences, he developed a deep understanding of what it takes to win—and he has been helping candidates succeed ever since.
In 2002, Joe was chosen to manage a special election for the New York State Assembly in Central New York, proving his ability to lead high-stakes races. The following year, he orchestrated a winning campaign for Mayor of North Syracuse. By 2004, at just 28 years old, Joe was running for the New York State Assembly himself. That same year, he volunteered for John Kerry’s presidential campaign and had the honor of driving Senator Ted Kennedy from Syracuse to Rochester as he rallied support for Super Tuesday.
A track record of excellence.
Joe’s expertise in political strategy grew further when he became Political Director of SEIU 200United in 2005, where he mastered the professional side of campaigning. Over the years, he has contributed to numerous high-profile races, including Andrew Cuomo’s campaigns for Attorney General (2006) and Governor (2010, 2014, and 2018). In 2017, he advised the winning primary campaign for the first Latina candidate for Mayor of Syracuse. His leadership was further recognized in 2018 when he was elected as Vice Chair of the New York State Democratic Committee.
From 2016 to 2024, Joe served as Co-Chair of the CNY Political Leadership Institute, a pioneering nonpartisan program designed to educate citizens on the campaign process. Now, in 2025, he is advising the mayoral campaign of Syracuse Deputy Mayor Sharon Owens, continuing his commitment to shaping the political landscape.
The future.
Joe understands the challenges Democrats face in a shifting political climate. The overwhelming defeat in recent elections and the rise of the MAGA movement have turned the political tables. Campaigns are getting tougher, and Democrats must reconnect with the voters they’ve lost.
There is no time to sit on the sidelines. The elections in 2025 and 2026 will be pivotal for our cities, counties, and state.
Joe brings relentless dedication, strategic insight, and the courage to take on the toughest contests. He puts his heart and soul into every campaign—because winning matters.
